Insulation Kit

We recommend insulation kits for CH, SC and other models used in refrigeration applications, to prevent excessive sweating, ice build-up and heat loss.

Our insulation kits are designed to be installed quickly and easily, and we don't cut corners on the materials or design.

• Insulation Material: 1/2" black Armaflex™, pre-cut to exactly the right size, no trimming required.
• Adhesion: Adhesive is pre-applied. Just peel off the paper backing and put it on. Instant adhesion, and no gluing required.
• Simple Design: Just three pieces, a front, a back and a side. No special instructions required.

We recommend the following to get the most out of your insulation kit:

• Insulation kits on Evaporators for temperatures 20°F (-6.7°C) or warmer.
• For temperatures down to -40°F (-40°C) use two insulation kits, one installed over the other.
• Maximum effective operating range is -40°F (-40°C) up to 220°F (104°C)

Mounting Bracket

Although our heat exchangers can be mounted with field-fabricated bar or angle materials, our Mounting Brackets make installation faster and easier.

Features and Benefits:

• Pre-configured mounting and anchor holes. Just bolt the heat exchanger to the bracket and screw the bracket down. It's that simple.
• Stainless Steel construction. Heavy gauge material is just as durable and rugged as our heat exchangers.

Y-Strainer

A strainer is required for proper protection of the brazed plate fluid side for chillers, condensers and fluid-to-fluid units.

Our strainers feature:

• Cast bronze construction.
• FPT female pipe thread connection, size range 3/4" up to 4".
• 20 mesh strainer
• rating for 400 psi at 150°F

Zinc Anode

A zinc anode is required for all MCN and MPN models used in swimming pools with electronic chlorinators and for ALL applications where galvanic corrosion is possible. A zinc anode is installed and shipped with all MCN Condensers, and not provided with MPN fluid-to-fluid models.

Companion Flanges

• Companion flanges make it easier to mate our heat exchanger to your piping for refrigeration applications.
• Size range from 1/2" to 2-1/2".
